New Mailbox User Does Not Show in Global Address List (GAL)
Global Address Lists (GAL's) are built/updated every day and then distributed to Outlook:
- Your organization’s GAL is updated every 24 hours on our network (typically overnight)
- Outlook 2003 downloads the updates to the GAL every 24 hours
If you are using Outlook 2003 or 2007 you can attempt to force Outlook to download a new copy of your GAL. To do this:
1. Open Outlook.
2. Click Tools and select "Send/Receive".
3. Select “Download Address Book” from the drop-down menu.
4. Click OK to download new changes
