Speed Up Microsoft Outlook Access

Here are some tips for speeding up Outlook:

Disable integration of Instant Messaging in Outlook. From within Outlook go to Tools > Options > Other. Ensure that "Enable Instant Messaging in Microsoft Outlook" is unchecked.
Update Outlook and Office with the latest patches. Go to http://office.microsoft.com/officeupdate/default.aspx; click "Check for Updates" and follow the instructions to install the latest patches and updates.
For Outlook 2002 and 2003 customers turn off the preview pane and enable AutoPreview. Select "View" > "Current View" > "Messages with AutoPreview".
