Microsoft Dynamics CRM 4.0 for Outlook Setup - Online & Offline
This will install the CRM connector into your Outlook client for both Online and Offline use. You must have a CRM site that is enabled for Online & Offline use in order to use this functionality.
System Requirements
Microsoft Dynamics CRM for Outlook can be installed on computers that have any combination of the following:
Windows operating systems:
Windows 7
Windows Vista
Windows XP with Service Pack 3
Microsoft Office:
Microsoft Office 2007
Microsoft Office 2003 Service Pack 3
Installation Instructions
1. Set the Indexing Service to Automatic startup and start service
1. Click on the Start Menu
2. Right Click on "My Computer" and select Manage

3. Expand Services and Applications

4. Click on Services

5. Within the panel on the right, browse down to "Indexing Service" and double click

6. In the new window, change startup type to Automatic

7. Click Start
8. Click Ok
2. Download the Outlook connector HERE
1. Double click DynamicsCRMClient_1033_i386.exe
2. Browse to folder to extract install files to. i.e. c:\apps\crm

3. Open Windows Explorer and browse the folder with the extracted files, i.e. c:\apps\crm
4. Ensure Outlook is closed and double click on setupclient.exe

5. Select "Install Microsoft Dynamics CRM for Outlook with Offline Access (Advanced)"

6. Select "I accept this license agreement" and click on "I Accept"

7. At this point the installer will examine your system and decide what components will need to be downloaded and installed. Once this is complete Click "Install" to start the installation.

8. Click Yes

9. Click Next

10. Browse to the location to install the files or leave the default and click Next

11. Examine this page for any errors during the install and follow the recommendations of any warnings that it presents. Click Next

12. Click Close to complete the connector setup.

13. Click on Start -> All Programs -> Microsoft Dynamics CRM 4.0 -> Configuration Wizard

14. Click Next

15. Select "An online service provider" and click Next

16. Enter the URL assigned to you (this can be found on your CRM settings page or from your administrator) and click Next

17. Enter your username and password and click OK

18. Click Next

19. Click Next

20. Click Finish

21. Open Outlook and you will now be prompted to sign into CRM. Enter your username and password

22. Within Outlook you should now see the CRM Outlook toolbar

23. Also within Outlook, you will see a new folder called Microsoft Dynamics CRM to access CRM within your Outlook client
