The Will Hicks Charitable Association

Brand Redesign & Website Development for The Will Hicks Charitable Association

Founded in 2010 to honor the memory of Will Hicks, the Will Hicks Charitable Association (WHCA) is dedicated to advancing the understanding and treatment of brain tumors while supporting families and individuals impacted by diagnosis. Each year, the foundation’s signature event, the Will Hicks Memorial Golf Tournament, raises funds for the American Brain Tumor Association, with 100% of proceeds donated to this cause.

To strengthen their online presence and ensure their mission was communicated with clarity and professionalism, WHCA partnered with us for a full brand and website redesign. The project included a refreshed logo, a modernized website, and ongoing web maintenance to support the foundation’s continued growth and outreach.

The Client:

The WHCA was formed by family and friends after Will’s passing from brain cancer. Their mission is to honor his legacy by raising awareness and funds to support brain tumor research and education. With more than a decade of dedication, they have established themselves as a trusted charitable organization and a beacon of community-driven impact.

The Problem:

The foundation’s existing logo and website no longer reflected the professionalism and credibility of their mission. The site lacked modern functionality, was difficult to update, and did not adequately showcase their events, sponsors, or scholarship opportunities. Additionally, their digital presence needed to better engage supporters and donors while remaining easy for volunteers to maintain.

The Challenges:

The project required solving several key challenges:

  • Outdated Branding: The original logo was not polished enough to represent a professional nonprofit organization.
  • Website Limitations: The old site was difficult to manage, lacked responsiveness, and provided limited information about the foundation’s mission and activities.
  • Donor & Event Engagement: The foundation needed a site that could effectively highlight events, sponsors, and fundraising efforts.
  • Ongoing Maintenance: The organization required a reliable partner to keep the site updated, secure, and optimized over time.

The Solution:

We delivered a comprehensive branding and digital presence update for WHCA:

The Results:

The project transformed WHCA’s digital presence:

  • Stronger Brand Identity: A new logo provided a modern, professional look that preserved the foundation’s legacy while strengthening recognition.
  • Professional Online Presence: The redesigned website showcased the foundation’s mission, events, and sponsors in a more engaging, visually appealing format.
  • Improved Engagement: With clear navigation, a dedicated events calendar, and dynamic visuals, the site better connected with donors, sponsors, and community members.
  • Peace of Mind: Ongoing maintenance and security support ensured the foundation could focus on fundraising and advocacy without worrying about technical issues.

By aligning branding and digital strategy, the foundation now has the tools to share its mission with a broader audience, inspire support, and honor Will’s legacy for years to come.

Testimonial:

“When we set out to honor Will’s legacy, we knew our digital presence had to match the heart behind our mission. INT delivered exactly that. They redesigned our logo, preserving the meaningful elements we cared about, and built us a website that finally reflects the professionalism and purpose of the Will Hicks Charitable Association. The result has made it easier to connect with donors, showcase our sponsors, and grow our annual golf tournament. Beyond the launch, their ongoing maintenance has given us real peace of mind so we can stay focused on what matters most: raising funds for brain tumor research. We couldn’t be more grateful for the partnership.”
